Description[]
Neon is a special map in Hill Climb Racing. It features special terrain, background and music.
Gameplay[]
Neon's unique feature is its bridges, that change their form bending, stretching and rotating. Also another feature is the sun's color which changes depending on the vehicle's main color. For example, if you race with the Lowrider, the sun's color will be bright blue, while racing with the Hill Climber will turn the sun into a bright red. The Neon Dragon appears flying in the background.
The Neon Dragon[]
For The Neon Dragon to spawn, there is 3 conditions:
- Vehicle must have passed the 18th bridge(which is around 1700 meters, changes depending on the vehicle),
- Screen must have been blurred just before,
- Dragon at the background must gone all the way through the screen(which can be accelerated by waiting), and turned back all the way through the screen after other 2 conditions met.
When these 3 conditions met, The Neon Dragon will spawn.
The player can ride The Neon Dragon and go for a little distance without touching the ground. For the achievement "Neon King" or mission "Drive On The Dragon", the player must have touched all the boxes on The Neon Dragon until they get coloured other than purple(colour depends on how far it is to the head). When done succesfully, the boxes gets brighter and dragon is marked as ridden. If the player misses some of the spot, player must continue the map until the 3 conditions remet. Then dragon will respawn and player has another chance to colour the remaining boxes left from the same run. There is no limitations to do this again and again.
Music[]
Neon's ambience is an electronic song from around 80's, judging by the map's description.
Background and terrain[]
Neon's terrain consists of some simulated-like ground with palms and bridges, with the map changing from vehicle to vehicle
Strategy[]
Neon is a beautiful yet difficult map. The main hazard are the bridges which change their form in an attempt to break Bill's neck. Note also that if you go under the bridges, it will count as Bill broke his neck.
Trivia[]
- The map in and of itself actually changes with every different vehicle that is used.
